Partnerships

Southern Journal considers collaborations that help readers explore regional places and culture without blurring the line between editorial judgment and promotion.

Possible collaborations

We consider clearly defined projects such as regional reading lists, cultural explainers, event or collection features, and other useful work connected to the subjects Southern Journal covers. Proposals should say what readers receive, who is involved and what material or placement is requested.

Partner placements

Partner links and other placements may be considered when their subject fits the publication and their purpose is clear. Placement does not imply editorial endorsement. Commercial relationships are disclosed beside the relevant material, and promotional content is not presented as independent reporting.

Editorial boundaries

Partners cannot approve independent editorial coverage or require a favourable conclusion. Southern Journal may decline proposals that are irrelevant to its subjects, obscure their commercial purpose or ask the publication to make claims it cannot support.

Make an enquiry

Use the Contact page and choose the partnership option. Describe the proposed collaboration, the audience it serves and any requested placement; avoid sending confidential or sensitive information.

Our point of view

A region is never just its reputation.

Southern Journal looks at what people make, keep and change, without mistaking a familiar image for the whole story.
